Not All Ponchos Are Designed for Kids
Many ponchos are designed with decoration in mind, rather than how they’re actually worn day to day. Common design choices can look charming, but often fall short in real life with kids.

Refined Shape
We chose a triangular shape for its natural drape and comfortable fit, then added extra length for better coverage and longer wear.

Soft Materials
We use a soft cotton blend chosen for comfort, durability, and easy care. Lightweight and breathable, it’s made to be worn often and washed with ease.

No Strings
Loose tassels and strings can get in the way. Our clean ‘enconchado’ finish creates smooth, durable edges that lay flat to hold up everyday wear.

Wide Neck Opening
Our wide neck opening makes the poncho easy to slip on without pulling or forcing. It’s designed to reduce fuss and make getting dressed quicker and calmer.

Less Stitching
Extra seams can add stiffness and bulk. We use minimal, strategic stitching, only where it’s needed. So the poncho drapes softly and moves comfortably with your child.

Small Batches
Our ponchos are made in small batches in Otavalo, Ecuador. This allows us to stay hands-on with quality, consistency, and fit. We focus on thoughtful design, not mass production.

Clean & Honest
We chose a cotton blend because it delivers the comfort, durability, and easy care families need for everyday wear. Cotton provides a soft, breathable feel against the skin, while acrylic adds lightweight warmth and helps the poncho hold its shape over time.
You may see many ponchos labeled as “alpaca,” but fiber labeling can be complex. In many cases, those products contain only a small percentage of alpaca, or are blended heavily with other fibers.
We believe parents deserve clarity, not assumptions. That’s why we’re transparent about exactly what our ponchos are made of and why we chose it. Our focus isn’t on chasing material buzzwords. It’s on how the poncho actually feels, fits, and performs in real life.
